About the Site
The Site

The site consists of 68 acres of gently sloping grassland, a wonderful backwoods area, two accommodation huts, lots of built in activities and a wonderful play area.

It is all managed by the Campsite Warden, John Salisbury and his team of dedicated volunteer assistant wardens, activity instructors and maintenance staff.
Accommodation

The Janet Cotton Pack Holiday Centre

This is the perfect place to hold your sleepovers and indoor camps. The spacious main hall is ideal for your group activities in the evenings and on those wet and windy days.

The large kitchen has a 6 ringed cooker with oven and a fridge freezer with a separate fridge/freezer in the store room if required. It is also fully stocked with pots, pans, cups, plates and the necessary utensils.

There are 2 twelve-bunked dormitories, and 3 four-bunked dormitories. A total of 36 bunks. There are also separate clean and modern male and female toilets.

In addition. there is an overhead projector for you to access via a laptop,  central heading (controlled by you) and plenty of tables and chairs. Each of the interior doors have finger guards fitted for the safety of young people.

Ranch House

The Ranch House perfect for campers who also want an indoor shelter. The spacious main hall is large enough for your group activitiesand will accommodate up to 20 young people sleeping on carry mats which are provided. There are also 2 bunk rooms with two bunks in each. The large kitchen has a six ringed oven and a fridge/freezer. It is also fully stocked with pots, pans, cups, plates and the necessary utensils.

Also provided is fully guarded wood burner which can add atmosphere to a chilly evening/ In addition. there is an overhead projector for you to access via a laptop,  central heading (controlled by you) and plenty of tables and chairs.

Each of the interior doors have finger guards fitted for the safety of young people.

Camping

Our large, beautifully maintained camping fields allow us to accommodate any group size. Each field has a mains water supply and out well situated and modern toilet and shower blocks ensure you have everything you need during your visit with us. There are also dedicated areas for backwoods activities.

Our Campfire Circle will accommodate the largest of groups and there is plenty of wood for the fire.

There is also a well stocked tuck shop on site where you can buy small gifts - but most importantly, sweets and chocolates for those midnight feasts.
