The site was a working farm until the mid 1990’s and camping only took place in the Valley and on the bottom field. The Staff ran the campsite from a number of wooden buildings around the camp centre.
When the tenant farmer retired it was decided to have the whole farm as a Campsite. Some of the old wooden buildings were taken down and the new garage put up.
Many of the old stone farm buildings were redeveloped as washrooms, toilets, shop, offices and stores.
Ashworth Valley is committed to investing into the future to development of the site for all. We have many ongoing projects which aim to move the site forward. Some of those projects are new outdoor Archery Range, a Axe Throwing Range and a Dipping Pond.
In addition to those we also hold an annual working party which everyone is invited to. Throughout the year we have several groups participating in service weekends. If you would like to join our adventure, please get in touch!
