Ashworth Valley is conveniently situated between Bury and Rochdale, in Greater Manchester. It is easily accessible by road, from both the north and south. It has superb rail links and is within easy reach of Manchester Airport.

Details on how to get to Ashworth Valley by car:

From M62 Junc.19:


Follow A6046 to Heywood town centre traffic lights, after the lights turn onto Bamford Road, at the T-Junction turn left onto B6222, the first right onto Ashworth Road.

From M65 Junc. 8:

Take A56 towards Haslingden then A680 towards Rochdale. Turn right immediately after Ashworth Moor Reservoir onto Ashworth Road.

From Bury and Rochdale:

Follow B6222 turning onto Ashworth Road at Simpson Clough.

Note: The Camp Site is signposted on B6222, however it isn't on A680

Getting to Ashworth Valley...

By Bus:

The 469 service runs between Bury and Rochdale bus stations at 30 minute intervals. Alight at Simpson Clough and follow Ashworth Road for approximately one mile to the Campsite.

By Train and Metrolink:

Trains stop at Rochdale station on the Trans Pennine rail link between Manchester Victoria and Leeds. The 469 bus will need to be boarded from Rochdale Bus Station to the Campsite.

The Metrolink runs between Manchester Victoria and Bury Interchange, where the 469 bus can be boarded to Simpson Clough.
