Welcome to Ashworth Valley Scout Campsite
Welcome to the Ashworth Valley Scout Camp website, where all our facilities are available to view and help you plan your next activity. The campsite is situated in rural Lancashire in countryside bordering the Pennines, but still within easy reach of Greater Manchester’s motorway network.
We have a wide range of outdoor and indoor activities and a climbing tower begging to be used. Please see our Activities page for more details.
Reviews of the campsite can be seen HERE. Please feel free to leave us a review about your stay!
We regret that we no longer take Public/Family Camping at Ashworth Valley Scout Camp. The Site is now only available to organisations with a Child Protection Policy, which incorporates the vetting of all Adults.
Unfortunately we DO NOT allow dogs (except Guide Dogs etc) to accompany campers or visitors.

About Ashworth Valley
Our History
The site was a working farm until the mid 1990’s and camping only took place in the Valley and on the bottom (Hurst) field. The Staff ran the campsite from a number of wooden buildings around the camp centre.
When the tenant farmer retired it was decided to have the whole farm as a Campsite. Some of the old wooden buildings were taken down and the new garage put up.
Many of the old stone farm buildings were redeveloped as washrooms, toilets, shop, offices and stores

The Future

Ashworth Valley is committed to investing into the future to development of the site for all. We have many ongoing projects which aim to move the site forward. Some of those projects are new outdoor Archery Range, a Axe Throwing Range and a Dipping Pond.
In addition to those we also hold an annual working party which everyone is invited to. Throughout the year we have several groups participating in service weekends. If you would like to join our adventure, please get in touch!
